Billions Australia by arrangement with Primary Talent, Drum Media and Inpress Present The Horrors.

“Connoisseurs of punk's darker corners and post-punk's experimental extremes will have their socks rocked off, totally” - MOJO

A mess of sharp elbows, big hair, feed back and monochrome clothes, Billions Australia are pleased to announce The Horrors for the very first time in Australia this August, with two exclusive club shows in Sydney and Melbourne. The Horrors debut album Strange House has whipped critics into a foaming frothing frenzy and their live shows have done the same. The Horrors are not to be missed.

After playing their first gig with only two rehearsals, there’s very little that could’ve prepared The Horrors for what’s happened to them since they played that first show in 2005. Jarvis Cocker declared The Horrors as the future of British rock, they signed to Island Def Jam (home to Kanye West and Jay-Z) in America and MTV banned their music video for its excessive strobe use and general gruesomeness.

The Horrors live show creates chaos where ever they play, with near riots in New York and shows getting cut short because of over enthusiastic crowds in the UK! The key to understanding The Horrors’ ethos is to see them play live: far from being nihilistic troublemakers, the band are keen to spread awareness about their influences when they play, passing on their love of the more arcane corners of the last fifty years of rock’n’roll to their fans.

A wave of gothic surf rock crashing on the shore of a very British kind of rockabilly. This is the kind of music to scare you onto your well-heeled feet, and stay there. Don’t miss The Horrors on their first tour of Australia, with special guests to be announced.

Tickets on sale now.
