Original Press Release:

Billions Australia presents
Lily Allen

Her clever, witty songs about smiling and London life have made Lily Allen one of UK’s biggest stars of this year.

Heading to Australia for a quick visit in August from August 9 – 15, Lily will also play exclusive shows in Sydney and Melbourne to showcase tracks from her debut album ‘Alright, Still’.

The UK have embraced this opinionated 21 year old’s infectious music with her single, ‘Smile’ already making its debut at #1 on the official UK singles Top 40 chart. The single held the top spot for its second week running while still holding #1 on the UK airplay chart for its fourth consecutive week.

Locally, ‘Smile’ was the 8th most added track at Australian radio in its first week and moves up two spots to number 6 this week!

Lily’s album ‘Alright, Still’ will be released in Australia this Saturday July 29 with great news coming out of the UK that it has debuted at #2 on the official UK chart this week.

Lily signed to EMI in December 2005. “Since then it’s gone mad. The online support I got for my music grew quickly, then the next thrill was hearing it on the radio. The reaction has been so positive it’s left me reeling a bit. But I’m happy and I know the songs can live up to people’s expectations. I know that all the songs on the album are so strong that we have loads more singles in the bag”.

Online, her MySpace page has had more than 2 millions hits and was recently the 13th most listened to artist, globally.

Alright, don’t miss Lily live.
